Rhett Silverstein

Hello and thank you for your interest in Hegemon. Please allow me to introduce myself, the agency and our mission.

By way of background, I am a NY-trained attorney and have always had an affinity for intellectual property and the power of branding. This led me to senior positions at global agencies representing an array of brands, celebrities, athletes and events. During this phase of my career, I spent my days pitching countless manufacturers on the value of licensing my clients’ brand-name for use on their products. In these encounters, I noticed the absence of my agency counterpart on the other side of the negotiating table. The manufacturers didn’t have representation and were making uninformed decisions. I felt a bit like the fox in the hen house. This pattern repeated too many times to ignore…

So I founded Hegemon on a mission to level the playing field for manufacturers seeking to license or acquire intellectual property. My goal was to create an agency with a singular focus on what’s best for the manufacturer. No half measures. Rhett is the founder and CEO of Hegemon Enterprises LLC, a company focused on developing products and services around intellectual property. Rhett is a member of the New York State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, LIMA and Sierra Club. He is a graduate of New York University and New York Law School. Recreationally, Rhett is a competitive tennis player, ice hockey player, creative writer, chess player and dog lover.
